Section 6: Creditor Contacts
This section includes the contact information for each creditor on your report. This information will be important to you if you need to request corrections to your report. There is an example of a dispute letter on page 38.
Once you have reviewed all three of your reports for accuracy, follow up with any discrepancies you might find. Look through these work- sheets and if there is an X in any of the boxes, use that information and contact the corresponding agency(s) to dispute the information and request a change. In some instances, you may have to contact the creditor directly and have them report the correct information to the credit bureaus. Make sure you continue to follow up on the dispute until the information has been corrected or the issue resolved.
